BaseballThe University of Alabama baseball team improved to 7-2 in Southeastern Conference play after taking two of three games at Auburn last week. That mark puts the Crimson Tide in second place in the SEC Western Division and third overall in the conference.
SoftballThe Crimson Tide softball team has played 21 games away from Rhoads Stadium (going 10-3 in true road games and 8-0 in neutral-site contests) and just 16 at home (going 14-2). That will change over the course of April, with fourth-ranked Alabama opening a 10-game home stand tonight at 6 against Jacksonville State.
GymnasticsThe No. 3 University of Alabama gymnastics team will see some of the top gymnasts in the country when it hosts the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional on Saturday. Utah’s Tory Wilson and Georgia Dabritz are ranked No. 3 and No. 8, respectively, on vault, while Dabritz is also No. 9 on uneven bars. The Utes’ Becky Tutka is ranked No. 9 on floor exercise.
