It looks very similar to Bryant Denny. Several SEC schools are expanding and upgrading their stadiums. Arkansas, Miss St, Ole Miss, South Carolina anf Kentucky all have renovations going on. A&M is adding 20,000 seats and upgrades to the infrastructure. Most are adding seats by luxury boxes but the main addition is upgrades to locker rooms, concessions, bathrooms and recruiting areas.

IMO Bryant Denny is big enough. Seating capacity is not the main factor when you get to the 90,000 plus seat stadiums. They have to be nice. Example, not like Neyland Stadium. Bryant Denny is also one of the nicest facilities in the country. We need to make sure we keep it that way. Auburn is a good example of an 87,000 seat stadium that was nice 10 years ago but needs upgrades now to be in the top half of the league.

Quote
The surge in enthusiasm for A&M football came when the Aggies decided to leave the Big 12 and join the Southeastern Conference. The Aggies have supported that move with their pocketbook and their presence at games.

In 2011, A&M's final year in the Big 12, Kyle Field was sold out for every home game for the first time.

Last season, season tickets were sold out in late March, the earliest that mark had been achieved.

Current capacity is 82,589.  This will make it the largest stadium in Texas, depending on how you count Cowboys' stadium and its standing room crowd.

Quote
Perhaps more importantly, it will be the biggest stadium in Texas. At least until either the University of Texas or Jerry Jones tries to one-up the Aggies. The Longhorns' house seats 100,119. Cowboys Stadium has held as many as 105,000 for special games, but the official capacity is 80,000.

Missippi State Expansion

Quote
STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State’s Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field is undergoing a $75 million expansion and renovation that will increase capacity to 61,337, provide additional premium seating, elevators, restrooms and concessions, and a completely new west side concourse, the university’s Athletic Department announced Wednesday. Construction is to begin immediately and will be complete in time for the 2014 season.

LSU Stadium Expansion

Quote
The Bond Commission gave quick passage without objection to a $75 million borrowing plan for the expansion that will push Tiger Stadium's capacity to nearly 100,000 people, making it among the largest university stadiums in the Southeastern Conference.

LSU has said construction will begin this fall with completion scheduled for the summer of 2014.

The stadium plans include adding 60 suites, approximately 3,000 club seats and general seating for up to another 1,500 people above the existing south end zone seats for Death Valley, where the LSU Tigers regularly play to sold-out crowds.

Well keeping our stadiums and such updated has made these others want what we have. Can you blame, but they will never be another Bryant-Denney Stadium. Good luck to the rest of the schools. RTR!
