Phil was offered a contract by the Redskins. He turned them down because he would be playing football through the entire hunting season. At that time he would have make $60,000 or so a year.
LA Tech played Alabama in 1966 when Phil was the QB. We beat them badly but Phil had a good game and was praised by Coach Bryant.
Duck Dynasty is one of my favorite shows. A good clean show without bad language or sexual overtones. Just a bunch of good ole boys (rednecks) that married beautiful women and like to hunt and fish.
Yep, good show. Silly, and just weird enough to be fun.
