There are different circumstances for each player. People don't like to hear this, but it is true. Also, why should he be punished more than what they do at other schools? I actually though it would be worse and it still may be. What if his replacement steps up and plays well? I think one of the major factors you look at is his track record. I think Saban state GS has not been in any trouble at all while at Bama.
I was surprised that CNS said as much about it as he did. Geno must be a pretty good kid for CNS to say so during a discussion of his suspension.
Seems that CNS has changed from saying nothing about suspensions to explaining the basics. I can see strengths in both. Say nothing and everyone things you're hiding something. Say too much and you're revealing details of the kid's personal life.
Let's just hope that the other players are watching this closely, and this will be the last of this year's misbehavior and missteps. Just play football.
