I saw something yesterday that brought out a big chuckle from me even though I was watching the game at home alone.

I know QBs love their OL and thank them as much as possible but I saw AJ give up his seat on the bench to one of the Kuanjo brothers yesterday. This happened after the last series that he played. The camera was there looking at AJ and those around him and all at once AJ looked up and saw Kuanjo standing and he got up and told him to take a seat and he did. AJ is no dummy.

I'd give that big son-of-a-gun anything he wanted.  Laughing

I saw that too. The star QB telling the younger lineman "sit down big boy and get you some of this cold air". The cameras also showed him explaining to OJ Howard how to get your body turned and catch the back shoulder pass. These are small examples of senior leadership.

Of course, you can't see much from the bench.

I've got my blinders on, and I'm trying to focus on this year.

I have no idea what we're supposed to do for a QB next year.  Clearly the new starter won't be Blake Sims ...

If Sims is going to be the starter next year, then some of the other players better start getting a lot better than what they are now because they will be needed. I was surprised that another QB didn't get the last 5 minutes of the game.

This is exactly the time in the season to let your guy know he's your guy. Glad he got every snap he could. Hope he gets another half of work Sat. in Loseington

Coach Saban said in his press conference he told BS it was his offense to run. He told him no QB runs. He wanted him to read the defense, make the adjustments and run our offense. I think CNS will worry about next year's QB this spring but if AJ gets hurt Sims is our clear cut # 2 QB.
