The probe of Auburn’s recruiting continues to widen with NCAA investigators hitting the state of Florida, according to this report from the Sun Sentinel.

David Hyde reports, “NCAA investigators are coming to South Florida this week to look into the recruiting of several high-school football stars and the methods of several colleges in doing so, according to a source. Among the schools whose recruits are in question: Ohio State, Louisiana State, Auburn and Tennessee. …High schools officials, street agents, seven-on-seven tournaments – they’re all going to be asked questions by the NCAA.”

Hmmm, this could get ugly if the right folks want to talk.

They are still chasing Eddie Gran recruiting methods.

I'll save my popcorn for the Arkansas (state) investigation.

This is going to be a really interesting investigation before it is over to bring the SEC down to all other school levels. CNS is doing things right. Just look at all the teams that keep getting added to the investigation I think all the extra camps.  RTR!

From story. "Why aren’t Alabama media outlets and newspapers investing time and resources to uncover the information in this case? Is al.com’s bias and the fact the Birmingham News is published by an Auburn fan the reason why we must rely on out-of-state outlets to report this major story"?

The media outside the state broke all the stories last fall. Now they are waiting for the NCAA to come behind and confirm what they they have already posted. The NCAA is slow and methodical, only deadline to keep is their own.

The state media can't afford to blast a state university until the story
is out and then they will report it.

State and local media's subscriptions and  readership is down. They want to post only favorable articles.

BINGO!! It takes another media outlet to say what Bama fans have known for a while.

I really believe Florida gets some major heat for their involvement with Cam. The guy was dirty and everything he touched got mud on it.

Quote from a barner (lol):

Quote
It will be a miracle for Auburn to withstand this much “investigation” and not eventually have some type of minor issues. Every major BCS team would. When you realize that the proof for every recent NCAA investigation that resulted in severe penalties was generated either from the press/media or a court case, you should realize that NCAA investigations are generally not productive. There is too much protocol for them to follow. Thayer Evans, et al stand a much greater chance of finding something and they have given up.

LOL--yeah right, Thayer Evans is your worst nightmare. :eye roll:

Huh?   Huh?

Eddie Gran, the slimy booger who followed Tuberville from Ole Miss to Aubrun and is now at FSU, recruited south Florida for the Aubs.  His questionable connections and dealings are rumors now; wait for more.

But the worst problems for the Boogers are in Arkansas, where their current staff used the cash connections for players still on the team.  That investigation awaits the slow and methodical NCAA.

The barn is singlehandedly bogging down the wheels of NCAA justice  by volume alone. Then they'll pull a USCw with "why does this team have to suffer for transgressions that occurred years ago".
