CBS Sports list Ricky Tarrart as one of the five transfers to watch next season. They also mention Michael Kessens. I an exciting about both of these guys. A 6-9 guy who can score. It has been a while since we have had one of those.

Help is on the way for Anthony Grant as Tarrant should be an instant offensive contributor for the Crimson Tide. The 6-2 guard averaged 15.7 points two years ago at Tulane and had 11 games in excess of 20 points. Also keep on eye on Longwood transfer Michael Kessens, who at 6-9 will give Alabama another interior presence that should be able to produce right away in the SEC.

The makeup of this team is going to be so different from what we've seen over the last couple of years, particularly last year. You have to wonder how long it will take for them to gel and develop chemistry. It will be interesting to watch them grow.

I never understood why the Tide did not recruit Tarrant from HS. He is from Birmingham, was an excellent player, was drooling to play for the Tide and we blew him off. Maybe that's an indicator of why the team has struggled the last few years.
