Darren Clarke is a good guy. Ever since his wife died, I had hoped he would do something good. Couldn't have happened to a better guy. I wonder what they're putting in the water in Northern Ireland.  Thinking

He does seem to be a good guy.  Plus, he's rich (even before this).

Thanks, CW.  Fun day.

D Clarke was long over due to win a major. He has been in contention on Sunday many times before. I agree he seems like a good guy. On the other hand the US is in the biggest "major" slump of all time.

Unfortunately you are correct and there doesn't seem to be any "Tigers" on the horizon.

Golfers seem to be the only individual sports people who play in rain, wind, and any horrible weather. Compare tennis players running at the first sign of moisture. The wind at today's British Open was predicted at up to 40 mph.

For me, this was the best feelgood golf story in a while.  D Clarke is a jolly good guy who's had his share of personal tragedy.  Hard to overcome all that on the pro tour but he did it.  As they say in Oz...Good on ya mate!

Patience grasshopper. 2 is practicing his heart out.  If only his bartender (Mohita Joe) and his dope dealer (Whoa Nellie) would cooperate.
