Alabama vs. LSU

The Alabama defense knows what's coming. After losing two of its first six games, LSU went back to the drawing board and decided it can't win with the passing game it has been dealt. Sophomore quarterback Anthony Jennings might be the future but there was not going to be a future unless the Tigers turned to their stable of running backs -- Leonard Fournette, Terrence McGee, Kenny Hilliard and Darrell Williams. Next thing you know there is a three-game winning streak, including an upset of then-No. 3 Ole Miss. So now everybody and their brother and defensive coordinator Kirby Smart knows offensive coordinator Cam Cameron is going to keep the ball on the ground. During the Tigers' three-game winning streak, LSU has used the running game 74.6 percent of the time with 156 running plays to just 53 passes. Alabama's defense is built to stop what the other team does best, unless it's some hurry-up tempo and LSU's is not. LSU's defense, which has regrouped nicely since the Auburn stomping, faces an offense similar to Auburn's with a dual-threat quarterback (Blake Sims), a running game that comes at you for four quarters and a go-to receiver (Amari Cooper) that is practically unstoppable.
