Blake Sims isn't always consistent but does enough
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The hook was coming.

Blake Sims retreated to the bench and hung his head in frustration. Looking down, searching for answers, he didn't even notice his backup getting loose a few yards away, taking snaps under center and playing catch. He didn't need to. He'd just thrown his third interception, and he knew the game was hanging in the balance.

Internally, Nick Saban asked himself whether to "pull the plug."

But Sims had come this far and had survived moments such as these: at Arkansas, at LSU, home against then-No.

Is anyone ALWAYS CONSISTENT?

Grammatically stupid, and besides...

He's our QB, led us to another victory, so I'll take him!

That was the biggest game that Sims has ever played in his career.

Imagine the confidence the team as a whole now has after that comeback.

The timing could not be better.

Where are all of those former players (QBs) who doubted him??

I must testify, I had my doubts when I first watched the A-Day Game. He has very gladly proved me wrong. RTR!

Everybody was skeptical when the season started, and rightly so.  What I don't understand is why some folks refuse to acknowledge the huge improvement he has made since that A-Day game.  It is almost like they are rooting for him to fail so they can justify their continued skepticism, all the while waiting to pounce with the "I told you so" at the first sign of a mistake.

Personally I think Sims accomplished exactly what CNS had been wanting him to do all season in the LSU and the Auburn game. He proved to everyone that he can overcome adversity and come from behind to win a game. He also had the Ole Miss game won had the receiver caught the ball at the end of the game. I heard a lot of people, including myself, say that he couldn't win in the clutch and how wrong were we. The team has bought into him now and that to me is all this team needed to win it all.

I think the team believed in him a long time before we did, especially the receivers.

Blonde-tips is still running his mouth at ESPN.

He wears his hate for BAMA and Coach Saban on his sleeve.

This is true.  The receivers were on board.  I think the players all like him -- he's been there 5 years and has always done whatever was asked without complaint.
