I agree. I don't see it working, unless Coach Mac is going to be the true OC, and Nuss is only there to compliment what Coach Mac does.

Mac & Nuss worked together before. Mac recommended Nuss to CNS when he left for Colorado State. I think it might work.

They both ran similar, if not exactly the same, systems at Bama.  But Mac was the better OC, Saban quietly replaced Nus with Kiffin, and Nus did nothing at Michigan.   Huh?
