"We’ve very pleased and happy that Lane is going to be staying here at the University of Alabama with us," Nick Saban said in a statement released by UA Athletics. "He’s done a fabulous job and is one of the finest offensive coaches in the country.

"He is going to have plenty of opportunities in the future and we want to continue to help him develop as a coach so when he leaves here, he’ll be in a very good situation. Our offense was extremely productive last season and we look forward to building on some of the good things we did on that side of the ball with this year’s team."

I am impressed with the decision of CLF, this only reaffirms my judgement of him wanting to be at Alabama to become another Nick Saban in the future.

Absolutely it's a wise decision by CLK.  He's got to make some "new" history to put between his present and the messes in his past.  He really needs to stay for all three years of his contract, but we'll worry about that a year from now.

Thanks to LK for returning for another year as our OC.  Hopefully next year he will be the reason so many other coaches are complaining about trying to stop our offense...
