Remember, Bama had no draft picks in 2007...  Nick Saban is populating the NFL!

"A big thing you learn at Alabama playing under coach Saban, you have to handle adversity and tough situations and learn how to bounce back," said Johnson.

"That's what you get from a kid at Alabama. He's not gonna quit on you."

Facts are a bothersome thing.

Quote
If the theory that former University of Alabama players struggle to succeed in the NFL ever held water, the (Crimson) tide has turned back in their favor.

Five of them made this year's Pro Bowl. Dont'a Hightower won a Super Bowl ring with the New England Patriots. Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley narrowly missed defensive rookie of the year honors. Mark Ingram of the New Orleans Saints and Rolando McClain of the Dallas Cowboys had long-awaited breakthroughs in 2014. Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones and Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy, the offensive rookie of the year in 2013, are among the most productive players at their respective positions.

How many games and championships has Bama won the last 7 or 8 years?

Players have no control over who drafts them.  I see Reggie bush was recently dropped by the Lions.  What a phenomenal college player he was with the USC talent behind him, but considered a bust in the NFL.  Many really good players are considered a bust when they end up playing on a team that's weak in their support area.  I was a Tampa fan when they picked up Steve Young from the USFL.  His record was dismal and they pretty much ran him out of town.  Bill Walsh was wise enough to see what the issue was, and it was Tampa Bay, not Steve Young.  The list goes on and on...  Most of the sports writers are looking for a quick story and don't really look into what's really going on with these talented players.

You are spot on. I dare say Atlanta wouldn't have won 3 games last year without Julio. They are the dumpster fire along with Oakland, TB, Tn, Jax and the Jets.

The list goes on and on. James Carpenter, Ha-Ha, C Upshaw, DJ Fluker, Josh Chapman, Mike Johnson, etc.

See this link from RollTide.com for a full list of Bama players in the pros. It is an impressive list. Click here for link

Reggie Bush started his NFL career with the Saints, like Ingram.
