Two biggest plays of the game, in my opinion, both by Coker, and neither a TD pass.

Getting rocked and recovering his fumble, and incomplete pass to Mullaney to save sack.

There were also a couple of nice runs.

Coker had a great game.

Jake the Quake is a force to be reckoned with!

Henceforth I shall call him Champion Jake Coker.

Good call!  Applause E-Cred

Thanks, coach.  Excellent job.

First I want to mention TEs.  Florida hurt us with throws to the TE; we didn't have success throwing to ours.  We'll have time to discuss MSU, but remember we'll need to 'cover their TE or they'll have success on us'.

Want to mention Herny's blocking.  That's one of the reasons he's playing on passing downs (and Harris is not).  Herny's cut block on the rusher allowed Coker to throw the TD to Stewart.  And NUMEROUS TIMES Herny protected Coker for passes.  Herny deserves the Heisman.

for some reason Bama has gotten away from throwing to the TE.  The only reason he was thrown to the other day was because Coker checked down.  Henry did a good job blocking the other day.  I would love to see some more creative routes after he is able to release.

Coach, and everybody else, what do ya'll think about Coker running the option play 2 or 3 times yesterday?  I think this will be huge in the playoffs.  Even if he doesn't get any big runs it will keep the defense honest and help open some holes for Henry.  Just the fact that we showed it yesterday will force the other teams to prepare for it.  Coker can be very effective running the ball and he is big enough to take the hits.  I would not want to try to go a whole season in the SEC with a running QB, but to supplement what we already do in the postseason I think could be huge.

I love Coker running the option BUT it makes me cringe when he lowers his head instead of laying down. RTR!

hscoach,  I frequent a private Gator's message board that spawned off from the old Gatorsports board after a few generations.  Some over there were complaining about non-called holding penalties that Bama was getting away with.  Did you see such when you were working up the review of the game?  I'm sure there likely were some on both sides but just curious about what you saw...  Thanks, I'll hang up and listen...

You can almost call holding on every play.  It was happening with both teams.  AU was complaining about the same thing and the pictures they posted showed holding could have been called.

I don't think there is probably a play that goes on that someone doesn't grab the jersey a bit. It would be human nature. RTR!

As a former DL on the high school level I can assure you every O line holds on every play.
I'm sure they neglected showing their holds on against us that weren't called. Unless it's a blatant tackle I don't get too worked up about it on either team. If the ref's are calling it fine or if their letting them play it's fine with me.
