"I don't think they played fast all the time," Saban said Monday.

"I think there was a lot of anxiety. I don't think we had very good ball security. I don't think we looked balls in. I think we played in a hurry - cut the routes a little bit short, don't do it exactly right, which sort of affects the timing of what you're trying to do and makes it a little bit more difficult for everybody. ...

This is the CNS that I like as a coach, pushing these players to higher levels. RTR!

Bama has 15 great looking kids playing WR. On those long runs last Sat. they blocked well down field like Julio did. Blocking down field is critical to the running game.

Yep, I like seeing this attitude too.  CNS likely is stressed about Penn State.  He knows we need to have offense enough to move the ball, score, be efficient, protect the QB, stop turning the ball over, and RUN the ball effectively.  The D is strong enough, but can't beat Penn State by themselves.

I agree. I think he likes this team and he is pushing them to their potential. If they run the right routes, it makes it easier on the QB tandum.

What are your thoughts on Duron Carter? Do you think he will get significant playing time against Penn state?

I'm hoping we don't need him.  But I expect him to play (JMHO) some.

We will be much stronger at the receiving postion in week 3. Duron Carter will have another week of practice and we get D. Hanks back. I thought D. White looked good. I was disappointed in the other new guys.

Don't know how much (if any) Cater plays but he might get in there to help block downfiled. Just saying he is a big man.

I think White did a great job seeing that he has so little game experience.
