Quote
Foster said he had to remind himself not to overreact because an ejection would have impacted his availability for the championship game.

"Of course I got fired up," he said. "I had four guys around me and the referees weren't doing nothing about it."

I've watched a lot of hard-fought, physical games in the Saban era. We've almost never seen a single player lose his composure with an opponent.  To see so many guys, especially the leaders, drawing unsportsmanlike penalties and getting into it with Washington players tells me UW was doing some dirty business.

True.  We're fortunate that nobody was kicked out of the game (and suspended from the upcoming game).

Yeah, I was really afraid that J Allen was about to get tossed. Glad that didn't happen.

The first scuffle had a Washington O-lineman grab Foster's jersey, throw him to the ground and then pile on top of him.  Jonathan Allen was flagged for pulling the Washington player off (non-violently).

They didn't show the later incident with the Washington linemen picking on an injured Foster that drew two flags for Bama -- as they say, and I believe them, they were just defending their teammate.

I wonder why Minkah wasn't flagged for removing his helmet after he intercepted the ball there toward the end of the game...

I saw that too.  But in replay Minkah's helmet was knocked kinda half off when he was tackled.  Wasn't like he unsnapped it and took it off on his own.

It was knocked almost completely off. It probably would have been smarter for him to push it back down rather than take it off.

Thanks, I didn't notice that his helmet was almost off already.  I just thought he pulled it off himself on his on...
