Martin, who just led the Trojans to 575 yards of offense in a 52-49 win over Penn State in the Rose Bowl, spent time with both coaches at USC.

"If Sark wants to take a shot - and he likes it - he'll do it more than one time. If it's a trick play and it's something he believes in, then he's going to punch the button. You like that in a play-caller."

Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts is the ideal quarterback for Sarkisian's version of the offense, Martin said.

"Jalen is the type of quarterback Steve loves," Martin said. "A dual-threat-type player that can run and throw it and very smart."

Asked if the lack of time was going to be an issue for Sarkisian, Martin didn't hesitate.

"Knowing the way I know coach, he's probably so fired up," he said with a laugh. "This guy wakes up every morning with energy and a passion for the game. Steve's going to come to work every day preparing as if he was the coordinator. He and coach Kiffin had such a good relationship, I would assume throughout the whole season, they have been working closely together the way they had at USC." ...

Well this sounds really great BUT wouldn't a coach say things to back a friend who they coached with? I know it is probably true but w/o a game yet we shall see. RTR!
