However, Tagovailoa wasn’t always a southpaw, according to an AL.com report. In fact, Tua’s father, Galu — himself a left-handed thrower — turned his son into a lefty simply so he wouldn’t be the family’s only left-hander:

My dad plays golf left handed but does everything else Right handed.

It would take a lot of work to learn to throw left handed if your right handed. this Tua guy is interesting!  Huh?

I am left handed and I do everything except shoot pool and fire a gun that way.  I guess Dad taught me those two things right handed.
