If it is Missouri, I think this map makes the most sense:

They need to get out a map of Tennessee and take another look.

Unless Vandy's moved to Memphis.

I think this is just the SEC making sure whomever they are courting knows they dont need a number 15 and 16.  I dont see the boogers going to the east.

Even if the barn moves East we will play every year. I am concerned about the Tenn rivalry though. I can remember 60's, 70's and early 80's when the Tenn game was much bigger than the barn game. That game has a lot of history.

Given the choice, I'd rather travel to Tennessee every other year than Boogerville.  At least Tennessee's roads are paved.

And their trees are alive.

I agree that if Auburn moves East, the Iron Bowl or the Tennessee game will be in jeopardy. I just couldn't imagine not playing either every year. One thing with adding another team and another game to each division may be the possibility that there are 2 permanent matchups with the other division. That would be Tennessee and Auburn for us.

I 'm not sure how it would work either but I am concerned about rivalry games. If we play all 6 from the West that only leaves two  more games. If we play the barn and Tenn we will never play the others in the regular season. An 8 game SEC is difficult. A 9 game schedule would be brutal.

I'm old school so I like the 12 team format we have now. Times are changing and the SEC can not get left behind I guess.

Good insight.
