0 Vanderbilt coaches who have won their first two SEC games, something James Franklin would do if the Commodores beat South Carolina on Saturday. The only first-year Vanderbilt coach before Franklin to win his SEC debut was Ray Morrison, whose Commodores opened their 1935 conference schedule with a 14-9 victory over Mississippi State. Morrison's first Vandy team lost its second conference game that season 7-2 to LSU. Franklin's Commodores are coming off a 30-7 victory over Ole Miss last week in his SEC debut. The margin of victory was the largest for Vanderbilt in an SEC game since the Commodores beat Mississippi State 49-19 on Sept. 25, 1971.

1 Team in the nation that already has surpassed its 2010 victory total -- Vanderbilt, which is 3-0 after winning just two games last year.

2 Florida players who have had at least 100 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards in the same game -- RB Chris Rainey, who did it last week against Tennessee, and former WR Percy Harvin, who did it in 2007 against Vanderbilt.

2 Alabama players averaging at least 100 rushing yards per game this season -- running backs Trent Richardson at 105 and Eddie Lacy at 101.3. Alabama is the only team in the country with two players averaging 100 rushing yards per game.

3 Trips to play in Mississippi this season for Louisiana Tech, which visits Mississippi State on Saturday. The Bulldogs played at Southern Miss on Sept. 3 and visit Ole Miss on Nov. 12.

3 Points scored this season by Florida Atlantic, the fewest in the nation. The Owls, who visit Auburn on Saturday, also rank last in the NCAA FBS with per-game averages of 6 first downs, 26 rushing yards and 92.5 yards of total offense and averages of 1.0 yard per rushing attempt and 2.1 yards per play.

4 Times that LSU has played three ranked teams in its first four games of a season, including this year. The Tigers take on No. 16 West Virginia on Saturday after opening the season against No. 3 Oregon and playing No. 25 Mississippi State last week. LSU won those games and is going for a sweep of its ranked opponents for the first time in this circumstance. In 1975, the Tigers lost to No. 6 Nebraska, No. 11 Texas A&M and No. 20 Florida. In 1983, LSU lost to No. 12 Florida State and No. 12 Florida around a victory over No. 9 Washington. In 1988, LSU opened with a victory over No. 10 Texas A&M, but lost to No. 18 Ohio State and No. 17 Florida. LSU is the only team in the nation to play three ranked teams in its first four games this season.

5 Punts blocked by Florida RB Chris Rainey, who added one to his total last week against Tennessee to become the SEC's all-time leader.

6 Consecutive games in which Auburn WR Emory Blake has caught a TD pass, the second-longest streak in school history. The Tigers' record of seven straight games with a TD catch was set by Terry Beasley in 1971. Byron Franklin also had a TD reception in six straight games in 1980. Blake caught one pass in Auburn's loss to Clemson last week -- a 36-yard TD reception.

....numbers beyond 6...

35 Of 55 third-down plays converted into first downs by Auburn's opponents this season, giving the Tigers' defense a 36.4 percent success rate at stopping third-down plays that is the worst in the nation. Florida Atlantic, which visits Auburn on Saturday, has converted two of its 23 third-down plays this season -- at 8.7 percent, the worst conversion rate in the nation.

Yes, and the boogs still cover the points.  I wanted to pick them so bad today.  I figure there is no way Auburn could give anybody 33.5 points with the horrible defense they have, but then I saw that Florida Atlantic has only scored 1 FG all year.

I've often picked big 12 teams to cover huge spreads, but rarely pick an SEC team to do so. The reason has to do with class and respect for one's opponent in not running it up. But as we know, the barn...
