The Crimson Tide (4-0, 1-0) scored in a variety of ways including two touchdown passes by quarterback AJ McCarron, an electrifying 83-yard punt return by Marquis Maze and an interception return 25 yards by DeQuan Menzie.
McCarron capped a strong opening drive with a fourth-down conversion that set the tone for the afternoon.
After lining up for a 54-yard field goal attempt, Alabama shifted to a new formation, which became a 37-yard pass to wide open Michael Williams. The junior tight then trotted into the end zone for a 7-0 lead.
