Quote
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama defensive end Quinton Dial shoved Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson to the ground after Wilson had thrown a pass, and an official tossed a yellow penalty flag at Dial’s feet. The personal foul happened on the sideline not far from Nick Saban, the Crimson Tide coach, but Saban did not raise a ruckus or scold Dial.

If Alabama (4-0, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) wanted to play with a little irritation, that was fine with Saban. The Crimson Tide are under a mandate to be tough operators and jar opponents this season, not just until the official’s whistle ends a play, but through the last bit of noise from that whistle.

Even when No. 3 Alabama was ahead by 24 points in the second half Saturday, it was still knocking Razorbacks backward with lowered shoulder pads. Arkansas got irritated, too, and there were some altercations around the field because Alabama was acting like a bully in its 38-14 rout of the 14th-ranked Razorbacks.

“We’re just trying to send a message to the SEC that we’re not messing around,” defensive end Jesse Williams said. “We’re more physical, and we’re going to hit you in the mouth on the first play, and it’s going to go on from there.”

Arkansas will probably not be the only SEC team that leaves a date with Alabama with some bumps and bruises. This year’s Crimson Tide seem more formidable than the squad that won the national title two years ago.

“There’s more to come,” Richardson said.

I disagree that we were acting like bullies. However, dirty plays are dirty plays no matter who does it.  I think we played hard and tough. I agreed with the personal foul call but for the most part, we just played GOOD DEFENSE! Smiley
if the NYT's had their way, we'd all be playing tag football with no winners/losers so no one would get their feelings hurt
