TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- In Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey, Florida has running backs with sprinters' speed.
Alabama doesn't have reserve running backs with that kind of speed to play on the scout team this week.
So what is the Crimson Tide doing to prepare?
According to one player, freshman wide receiver Bradley Sylve and freshman defensive back Jabriel Washington have been pressed into scout-team duty.
Demps is a track star for the Gators. Sylve, a Port Sulphur, La., native, won Louisiana state championships in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.
C.J. Mosley update
Injured sophomore inside linebacker C.J. Mosley (elbow) was on the field Tuesday, and he was not in a black, non-contact jersey, but his right arm was wrapped, and he appeared to be doing very little.
On Monday, Alabama coach Nick Saban said Mosley is questionable for Saturday's 7 p.m. CDT game at Florida.
What does this mean?
Last week, defensive backs were on the spot as Alabama prepared for Arkansas and its potent passing game.
This week, linebackers might be on the spot as the Tide prepares for a Florida ground game that has been good through four games.
Mosley and Nico Johnson usually rotate at the weak inside linebacker spot, with Johnson usually playing in run situations and Mosley more in pass situations.
