National college football analysts from throughout the country give No. 12 Florida a chance in its showdown with No. 3 Alabama on Saturday night at The Swamp.

None are predicting a Florida win, but none are expecting a blowout like last season's 31-6 loss at Alabama.

"I would be very surprised if it was not a fourth-quarter game," CBS Southeastern Conference color football analyst Gary Danielson said.

"It's a different situation (than last year)," CBSSports.com college football analyst Tony Barnhart said. "They have the energy of a new coaching staff, the energy of playing at The Swamp. They have a chance, but there are some things that they are going to have to do well in order to beat Alabama."

Well I for one agree it is going to be a dogfight. I picked the score i believe at 21-20 the good guys. I think our kicking game will be the answer to the game difference or an intangible. Fla is good this year  just like everybody we play. The Year of "ULL Wins" make me know if we are not on top of our game we could lose. I think Fla. is better than "AUBURN" last year and look what happen. We have to strap up tight and bare down on the delicate parts, the trenches, and we can win this one. Fla sounds good enough to be us, if we are not going in with our eyes open yes they can. RTR!

Quote
"The defensive line is the best part of their team," Pollack said. "I call them the baby d. (Ronald) Powell, (Dominique) Easley and (Sharrif) Floyd, with (Jaye) Howard and (Omar) Hunter, they are more deep and talented in that area than they have been in years past."

I agree that Florida is talented.  But if these "experts" want to pick UF to beat Alabama, tell them to show the money.  That'll shut 'em up.

BAMA 34-10

Hey, Gramps, you picked 34-13 on the pick-the-score thread.  Which is it?

Of course FL could win.  Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

I think the thing these guys are missing about Bama's D is its athleticism a tackling ability.  IMHO, that may be what ultimately sets this D apart from some of the great Bama D's of the past.

I am just worried about our OL and AJ getting the job done.  Even though FL is better than last year...so is Bama.
