Doesn't the NCAA Selection Committee realize that Alabama, Colorado and Virginia Tech were shoo-ins to rumble through the NCAA tournament and earn spots in the Final Four?
Apparently so, based on the incessant yammering from ESPN talking heads about the so-called bubble teams left out of the Big Dance. It doesn't take a bunch of MENSA members to realize that the committee passed over a number of teams with questionable resumes and instead chose others with similarly questionable resumes.
It happens every year. Happened last year. Happened this year. Want a bold prediction? It'll happen next year, too.
Let's concede that a number of teams have a valid argument for being in the tournament, but there's just as much evidence that they were rightly left out.
