Saban, who caused a few ripples earlier in the week by saying a naughty word during his live-in-cyberspace Monday press conference, essentially challenged his players to demonstrate better "energy level, passion, and enthusiasm" in the second half.
"Everybody has to make a commitment to who we are," he told them.
He was stern. The message was pointed. But, Saban said, "It wasn't really an explosion."
Said Saban, "There's no sense in stomping and jumping up and down."
Then, Alabama went and stomped up and down on Tennessee in the second half with 31 points.
