Yes, I know, we've see the same "rumors" and "reports" week after week and loss after loss circulated on blogs, forums, and Twitter, but it seems to be legitimate this time. After yesterday's loss to Kentucky, the 12th consecutive SEC loss Ole Miss has endured under Houston Nutt's coaching tenure, the Rebel head coach was informed that he would not be retained beyond the Egg Bowl and will, perhaps, be dismissed as early as Monday.

Again, I know we've heard all of this before, but sources close to the Cup have confirmed this and, come on, at this point it's not like it's something that's all that hard to believe.

Agreed. We could be much worse off. Just imagine if Rodriguez agreed to come here. I am proud to have Coach Saban at Bama. No ones perfect, even our coach. But he is perfect enough for me. (song?)

I can't say this surprises me. Who with they go after. I don't think a big name is a possibility. They could go after a successful small school head coach or a coordinator. My guess is they go after Gus Malzahn.

Now that Missouri is joining the SEC and Ole Miss may not have a coach, can we just kick the Rebel Black Bears out of the SEC?

1. Houston Nutt will step down at the end of this season;
2. Pete Boone (AD) will retire next year (2012) after his replacement is chosen;
3. Archie Manning will serve on the committee of 5 to choose the next coach.

I'm betting Nutt is tickled pink that they finally decided to get rid of him, wish I could get run off from a job for 6 million.
