AP voters discuss possibility of split Nat. title

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- A majority of Associated Press poll voters surveyed by The Birmingham News say that if Alabama wins Monday night's BCS title game, they will vote for the Tide as the AP's national champion even though LSU won the teams' first matchup.

I am wishing right now that the BCS would change their rules and let the winner of LSU/Bama play those almighty Cowboys. I am so sick and tired of hearing how almighty Ok State is and I promise you Bama or LSU would beat the living stew out of them. Oh, please BCS change the rules because the SEC wants them some Cowboys!! Boo E-Cred

Nah, Okie State was not the best team on the football field last night against Stanford. Stanford just pulled a Georgia and went conservative (run clock and try field goal instead of driving for TD).

The people who want to vote LSU #1 even if we beat them are applying circular logic. They say that LSU already beat us once. If we win, though, we will have beat LSU once. I wonder what makes the Nov. 5th game more important than the BCSNCG in their eyes. And, if they want to vote OK State #1, maybe they should just run some simulations on EASports and let that decide their vote, because all they're doing is going through "what-ifs" in their head to determine their vote.

I hope that we put such a beat-down on LSU that there is no question who is #1.

So now LSU beat us on our field by 3 points in OT. Now, when we come out and win by 7 or more on their "home field pretty much where they have never lost" it should be a split National Championship! Vern and Gary I owe you an apology you are not the less intelligent people in college sports. There is one trophy and somebody is going home with the BCS trophy. They won't cut it in half so how in the world could there be a split decision? RTR!

I am kinda worrying about what to wear for the game. I have clothes laid out in my head, and I'm working on getting the oldest girl to trim my hair. But that is all I'm worrying about (pictures),-- outside of the game itself. I'm certainly not pacing back and forth like a fairydiddle on crack over what some Oklahoma St. guy has to say-- about anything. BTW, I bought a new belt that I am worried won't be dropped off UPS or FEDEX in time to wear and I am not sure the color will match my Bama shirt. RTR
