 Shocked Shocked
Wow, sounds like the Aub's are lucky that they can field a team (and keep their players eligible and out of jail).

Jeremy Richardson, a four-star receiver in '10, never qualified. Another four-star receiver that year, Antonio Goodwin, got dismissed with three-star teammates Dakota Mosley and Shaun Kitchens after they were arrested on robbery charges.

I don't care if they ever get their tractor unstuck.

Seems like they more concerned about trees than football. Going keep the trees in the news.

I hope the barn becomes the Kentucky of the west in football.

It seems they are not checking these recruits out and not knowing them on a personal level. Either that or the coaches have let the players take over the program. If that's the problem, things will really spin out-of-control in the next couple of years.

Auburn's quarterback situation might not be a mess if it didn't miss in '09 on Tyrik Rollison, the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback who ranked 17 spots ahead of Clint Moseley. Rollison was suspended and transferred to Sam Houston State, where he has since left while recently expressing interest to join Texas A&M-Commerce.

Auburn's four- and five-star misses add up. Dontae Aycock, the No. 16 running back in '09 ahead of Arkansas' Knile Davis and Wisconsin's Montee Ball, was dismissed by Auburn in '10. Then he left South Florida last year, too.

Taikwon Paige, a four-star junior-college cornerback in '09, never qualified. Neither did Reggie Taylor, the nation's 34th-ranked corner that year

CNS and the Bama staff makes recruiting a year round priority. They get as much information on the player as they can and stay within the NCAA rules. They get to know the player, players family and the HS coaches. They do their homework. Other schools, like the barn, rely on recruiting services. Willie Lyles and the guy from Arkansas. These guys are in it to make money. They are looking after their interest not the schools. When you take shortcuts things don't always work out.

My take..

You go behind parents' backs you are going to get 2 types of kids: the kids who want to defy their parental authority or the kids who don't have parents worth a dang  Both are gonna lead to behavior problems with the player.  Recruiting is a family process and Auburn is appealing to a certain group of kids with their flash.  It's just not working out for them.

Remember how I told you Peaches said they would call Brent during Wednesday night services at Peaches church so that Peaches couldn't listen in or guide Brent in any way?  Auburn has no respect for the parents of these kids and they are attracting recruits with no respect for authority as well.
