Quote
Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron was given 30:1 odds Tuesday to win the 2012 Heisman Trophy, set by famed odds maker Danny Sheridan.

Sheridan, a Mobile native and Alabama alumnus, Tweeted his early Heisman odds for public consumption.

In his first Tweet, he wrote, "(Will) be sending out my early Heisman odds, which take into consideration: Politics of voters, playing on a good team, & School's PR Machine."

If TR couldn't win it, I just don't see another Bama player being considered as a prime candidate for it for some time, too many antiBama folks doing the voting. Sad

Didn't he say AJ was a terrible qb a few months ago?

It's all about numbers.  30:1
What were his chances as the MVP of the BCSNC?  10:1?

It’s fun to speculate and that’s what sells for guys like DS. Right now he looks like a genius to USCw fans. If he wasn’t from Alabama I doubt AJ would even be listed. I’m glad AJ’s getting some recognition though, that’s never a bad thing. I do believe with the OL this year, AJ could have a special year.

Lets look at the last three Heisman winners.
Mark in ’09, who would have given any odds in the spring he would win it.
Fig Newton in ’10, shows you can buy anything if you have enough money…..I mean no one saw that coming.
RG III this year, who heard of this kid before the season started?

Anything is possible.

I love college football.

Last time I heard Shreidan before the BCS game, he said Bama would lose because AJ was not ready for the spotlight. He is nothing but a pot-stirring loser.

I think he lost all credibility with the bag-man stuff. You’ll probably see his name in the papers a lot as he tries to rebuild his reputation.
