Two of Alabama's four suspended basketball players are back on the team, coach Anthony Grant announced Monday.

Sophomore point guard Trevor Releford and junior guard Andrew Steele "most likely" will be available to play Tuesday in a home game against Florida.

Senior forward JaMychal Green and junior forward Tony Mitchell continue to be suspended indefinitely, Grant said.

I wonder if this is anything like what DJ Hall did and tried to get other players to side with him against the coach. Did Mitchell recruit the other 3 to take sides against Grant? Maybe Releford & Steele refused but never told Coach Grant what was going on. Where's Columbo when you need him?

Grant said over the weekend that the three player suspension was unrelated to Mitchell. Green has been supended three times now by CAG. I supect whatever the three did Grant was more forgiving to Releford and Steele since they have not been in trouble before. I'm sure Green was on thin ice already.

Good point, I had forgotten all about that. Your explanation sound plausible.

Bingo. That's exactly what I was thinking, but with a different twist. I think Mitchell and Green to CAG are what DJ Hall was to the football program. Send the message loud and clear - there is no one who is bigger than the program, no one who is outside the process. Period. Cut off the gangrenous finger to save the hand.

Releford is going to have to step up and be the leader of this team now that Mitchell and Green are both gone. Steel can help with that as well, he has proven that since his return to the team.

I think Bama beats Florida tomorrow night!!! Roll Tide

Releford is the point guard and provides Bama solid player to drive to the basket and Steele is our best defensive player. Hopefully, that will be enough for the Tide to beat UF.
