TUSCALOOSA -- One of the newcomers on the Alabama football team is Aaron Douglas, a 6-foot-7, 275-pound offensive lineman from Maryville, Tenn.
He's two inches taller but 25 pounds lighter than James Carpenter, the Tide's starting left tackle the past two seasons.
Douglas came to Alabama in January from Western Arizona Community College. As a freshman, he was a starter at Tennessee.
He's wearing No. 77. Check him out in a couple of drills at Wednesday's practice, the second session of the spring.
