No. 1 Softball Heads to the Pacific Northwest

Playing conditions wewe less than ideal. Both teams had already made a couple of thowing errors because of the wet field and light rain falling.  Two of Portland States runs were a direct result of Bama throwing errors on routine ground balls on the infield.  PS also had a couple of untimely errors,  I would have thought that they being from the  Pacific Northwest would be use to playing in the rain.

There was also a large contingent of Kayla Braud family and friend who had come from Eugene after last nights game.  I'm sure they enjoyed last nights game and getting to see their hometown girl playing for the #1 team in the nation.

I was glad that Kayla had a decent game last night., That game had to be one of her big career highlights since coming to Tuscaloosa to play.

Yeah, I'm sure it was.  She already had a double and a single in tonights game.

You have to give Portland State credit. They found a way to keep us from winning. Order up a rain storm. 

That was a long trip to Oregon to play one game. We return to Tuscaloosa for our first home SEC series of the year against Ole Miss.
