Those who were impressed with T.J. Yeldon on Saturday in Alabama's A-Day game now can wonder what the freshman running back will be like when he's healthy.

The early enrollee was playing with a broken bone in his left hand Saturday when he compiled a combined 179 yards rushing and receiving and was named the Most Valuable Player of the scrimmage.

Alabama coach Nick Saban confirmed the injury Thursday before a Crimson Caravan appearance.

"He fell in practice early in the spring," Saban said of the former Daphne High School star. "He practiced all spring with that cast on."...

I remember seeing the video of his practice and him wearing the cast. His performance with a broken hand says a lot about him.

If he can become a good student of the coaches, there's no telling how good this young man can become down the road. I worry a little about early success with the younger players but CNS and his coaches did a great job with Ingram and Richardson and hopefully Yeldon will follow their example of on and off the field greatness.

I'm not worried too much about early success and Yeldon.  He is out there competing with a broken hand.  The guy is a competitor!

Well said, J.  Hopefully this young man will be the next star RB at Alabama.  He has plenty of role models to follow, plus the best teacher(s) in the game.
