I went to Big Bob Gibson's for supper today. The wife is out of town. Me and the 18 year old daughter worked today and we did not want to cook. Big Bob is famous for his BBQ.

I do know the difference in grilling and BBQ which is low cooking. I grill most of the time on a Brinkman gas grill for convenience. When I get serious I use my Mr. Meat Smoker. I have had it for about 20 years. It takes charcoal and I add wood a few hours before the meat is done.

I googled and found this picture. It was cheap but it does a great job. It has a water/anything wet you put in there tray between the heat and the meat.

Yep. Leave the water bowl (steamer) out for grilling. Igenerally build a larger fire (more coals) and use the lower grillface for grilling, but it is also nice to have the upper rack stuff dripping juices on the lower rack. Many, many tips (pre-soak your wood chips) but 20 years of practice will do the trick. RTR

Ford Fiesta (no Obama money)
NL up 8-0 after 4. This is due to the AL DH rule. The American League doesn't even play real baseball. JMHO

I pitched through high school. But playing the field was just something you had to do in order to get to bat. I would never have played another inning had someone said, "Starting tomorrow, you don't get to bat!" I would have been off to the pool for the rest of the summer.

Worst change of rules, all-time:

10.The implementation of the forward pass.
 9. Boxing gloves.
 8. Pine tar.
 7. Banning of Jethro's possum grease.
 6. The 3 point shot.
 5. The change from using peach baskets to the modern day basket.
 4. Penalizing a player "so full of Alabama" for making a tackle from the bench.
 3. Two platoon system.
 2. The current college football overtime system.
 1. The designated hitter rule.

JMHO, of course.

The AL ended up overturning that call and allowing Brett's homerun.  They resumed the game at a later date.  Billy Martin got thrown out before they threw the first pitch of the resumed game because he came out and appealed at every base that Brett hadn't touched each one.  He then argued that it wasn't the same umpiring crew and they had no clue whether or not Brett had originally touched the bases.

The woman put a couple of windmills in the garden. Aside from the asthetics the added movement seems to help "shoo" the deer. But I am thinking about taking one down because we don't really have enough wind for two.  Tinfoil Hat

Peace out and RTR!
