My uncle had a 2200+ lbs Charolais and a 2000+ Black Angus that used to like to lock up about once a day.  It was quite a sight when they started pushing and shoving.  They'd knock around feed troughs and things like they were made of paper.

The Charolais was younger and had a higher center of gravity...the black angus had him whipped for about a year and finally the youngster started getting the better of him.  They never seriously hurt each other...I think they were fighting to be the alpha at first and then it just turned into fun.

Yes, I use to have cows but I ain't able to tend to them anymore and I had to sell out to pay medical bills before VA took me over. I had White Face, or known as Herdferd. RTR!

They are big. Maybe susceptable to pink eye and some other "have to put 'em down" disease. Not sure. It is not unusual for the Santa Gertrudis bull to go 2800lbs. But they have relatively small calves. One of the major asset traits is the rate of growth. The first one I saw was in my backyard in Lafayette, LA. Our English Mastiff laid down, in the darkness of a shadow, between me and the perceived danger but he did not challenge that bull. Smart dog, --extremely loyal and kid friendly.

We lease to another farmer. He has cows, sheep, and horses on about 30 acres. I only charge him a few dollars a month and he has to maintain the fencelines and clean up deadfalls, etc. The girls ride his Belgiums when they want and we can also use his horse trailer anytime. RTR!

My Cousin Vinny is one of my favorite movies. It ranks right up there with Smoky and the Bandit.

It doesn't surprise me that "The Junction Boys" never received any Academy Awards,--but I would feel almost insulted if Hollywood gave it the recognition it deserved. Kinda/sorta serious HL.

I feel the competitive nature of the pick 'em contest is hurtful and mean spirited. I think we can still have a lot of fun without keeping score. Or maybe pick things that do not focus simply on football. Also, I feel these contests are culturally and geographically biased against guys that live in, for instance, Maryland. JMHO and SIAP.

Applause E-Cred  Back at ya. Also-- you shouldn't need any ID to enter because that is restrictive and prejudicial in itself. All people in Maryland should get ecreds and SC should pay them because he has plenty and they don't have any. HTH

I don't have that many, but I have a pretty good scam going with China.  I con them into giving me some, then I print out some new ones to pay them back with.
