Christmas cigars?

Quote
The 6-inch Earnhardt stogies sell for $12 each or $100 for 10 on the company’s website, with a box of 25 going for $225. They’re described as a having a “mild, creamy smoke with a smooth finish.”

I don't smoke or I with get me a box of those. Where else can you get a $2 cigar in an $8 wrapper.
We'll see if they come in bubble gum for you! I'm always looking for things like this for quick Christmas presents. These are a little pricey but the mailman, the guy at the Ford Tractor parts desk, or the guys that help with lawn care,-- will talk about that little gift over Christmas like you gave 'em a Rolex.

Maker's Mark sent me an Ambassador Christmas present that will be comical. It was 3 gift boxes that make the recipient think they're getting the worst present ever. One is a fake fruit cake box (insert the 1/5 of MM), another is a chest hair waxing kit, and the 3rd,-a dummy box of kitty litter refreshener (as seen on TV--LOL).

I've been saving up and plan to give everyone here some E-creds. RTR

My wife gives out a lot of small Christmas gifts each year. She picks out the stuff to give the girls in my office. This year Bath & Body Works seems to be getting a lot of her business.

We used to give our church staff a gift basket each year from Hickory Frams or something like that. That stopped when she went by the church office one year and saw about 20 baskets. She said all but about 3 was bigger than ours. LOL

I always try and make a drag through our little town with some $20s. The postmaster, the guy that works at the green boxes (dumpsters), etc. Cash works well with those guys. The directional drillers (17) 34  all get the same-- nada-- while their real bosses (wives) are getting Tourquoise-- MRSBAMAWV made the selections. Notice how our women hop right to when it comes to shopping?

Only 9 more days until the end of the world.  Or the end of the Mayan calendar.

Good morning everybody, or I hope it is. I've been to doctors in
B'ham 4 days in a row. Been missing out here.
So now SC what is exactly the Mayan Calendar? I amnot sure if I have known of this. RTR!

Our calendar is based on how long it takes the earth to go around the sun, which is 365 days, give or take a couple hours.  So we start a new calendar every 365 days.

The Mayans based their calendar on a much longer cycle having to do with other planets lining up or something like that.  I don't know the details.  But it took much longer than a year for the solar system to complete this cycle and start over again with everything making it back to the starting point all at the same time.  We're talking hundreds of years, maybe even a few thousand, for this cycle to be completed just one time.

So when they made their calendars they based it on how long it took this cycle to complete.  12/21/2012 is the last day on their calendar and 12/22/2012 is when a new cycle starts, much like 12/31 is the last day on our calendar and 1/1 is when the new cycle starts.  So far so good.  It is just a different way to track the days and assign an ID to them so that notable events can be recorded.

But somewhere along the way "scientists" got the idea that the Mayans thought the world was going to end because the current calendar that archeologists have found on the walls of their ancient buildings runs out on 12/21/2012.  Kind of like if someone came to your house and saw a calendar hanging on the wall and noticed the last day was 12/31/2012, then suddenly jumped to the conclusion that you must think the world is going to end on 12/31/2012 because that is the last day on your calendar.

Maybe the ancient Mayans really thought the world was going to end on 12/21/2012, or maybe they didn't.  Who knows.  But the sad part is that there are people alive today who think the world really is going to end on 12/21/2012 because they think the Mayans knew everything.

FTBAMAWV is not buying larger quantities (No Sam's) of stuff until that Saturday morning (22nd), just in case. Memo circulated to remind all to wear a clean shirt on 20th/21st.
