I'll bet he is going to enjoy having Fluker ON his team this time as opposed to having to get around him.

Simple folks with simple life. But how simple is that kid looking for change on the rocker cushion?

Didn't you just buy a Ford?  This sign must be talking about the Model T's that are still running up and down the roads a century later.

Bwaaaahaha-- wondered if anyone would catch that. We bought an Edge for the woman but I also said I was fixin' to switch from Chevy.  Then the Ford salesman in Virginia tried to pull a So. Car./alternator thing on me! Angry Angry

Don't deal with salesman, that was your first mistake.  I buy all of my cars over the internet.  I don't even go to the dealer until I am ready to get the keys and sign the papers.

Basically get on ford.com and put in the specs for the car/truck you want.  They will give you the MSRP price and offer to find a dealer that has a vehicle with those specs.  Then send an e-mail or two to the dealers that have what you want.  Tell them that you have your money ready and are going to buy that car this week, you are just trying to find the best price.  At that point you have all the leverage.  They know how simple it is for you to e-mail the next guy, so they cut through all of the bull and give you  their best price.  If you don't like it move on to the next guy with another e-mail.  I have done this several times and I have always gotten the deal I want from the very first dealer I contact.  Then you just drive in, sign the paper, then drive off in your new car.  No hip waders necessary.  If you do it toward the end of the month you will really get their attention.  HTH.

Yeah. I was just beginning to figure out on my own, exactly what you have stated. I have been buying for years from the same guy (Chevy) but since I've moved on, I did most of the shopping/comparison by the net. What I got screewed on was just an outright, petty lie.  I asked them to take the manufacurers tires off and put a real set on.  Tires on new cars are always a decent brand name--but a cheap, thin, cheapo version that they put on the new cars.  We had them deliver the car. It came with the same tires. What he did not know--the salesman, was that I'd called the dealership and another salesman had taken some pictures for me.  One of which was a close-up (read the writing) of the original tire. Mrs. BAMAWV told him, "Your lucky he doesn't call your boss, like he was going to this morning".
