2011 Expectations

I absolutely can't wait for this season to begin, because I believe that we will see one of the best defenses in Alabama history.  With the experience gained in the secondary and the return of pretty much everyone except Dareus, I can't see a reason why this team won't dominate.  While I think the offense will go back to a 2009 version, didn't we win a championship that year?? I feel like I'm jinxing this team by talking about them so early, but I don't care!! Roll Tide!!

I think your right. We get Robby Green back with 37 back there gosh my brain is gone forgot his name. help me. I too think a No.1 defense in the country. Our offense will be a monster also. Let's line it up and see what happens. RTR!

Good post (+ e-cred).  I agree, BUT we've just got to be lucky this year with injuries.  2009 was good to us.  Last year we had a multitude of injuries, all year long.

Recall, 2010 started with us having the "best offense in Bama history", and it might have been.  Mich State thought so.  But the D was decimated by injuries. 

We have the talent that nobody can match.  We have the best coaches.  We just need the injury gods to be good.  Don't step on any witch's feet or otherwise jinx us.

I expect us to compete in Atlanta in December. BCSNCG isn't out of the question, but I never like to set that as an expectation because it requires too many things lining up just right to happen. I certainly plan to be there if it does!

I expect them to be tough as well. I am hoping fo lots of pressure on the QB. I would like to see it from the front line. But as long as we look scary out there.... I'll be fine with that.

I look for them to win one game at a time. I think that will lead to that most loved point that we all want to be. When we can walk on one stone at a time without falling off the stone we will find those crystal riches. RTR!

We will have a great defense. I think our Special Teams will improve but our offense is going to be the key. If CNS don't call off the dogs when we score 24 or so. Don't ever slow down the scoring you can't get it back. RTR!

Clearly Alabama has talent.  As long as the QB comes through, and the team stays hungry, I think there is a good chance of an undefeated season.  However, I think Gmac is going to be missed more than most expect.  If the running game picks back up to take the pressure off of the QB, that well help.  Also, the defense and special teams should be improved.  The great unknown, as always, is injuries.  Staying healthy will be important.

Here is to loosing my "ed" status.
