Scarbinski's story in AL.com this morning takes a step back and looks at all the stuff this De Vinner guy has alleged and the many good reasons to question his credibility. Not sure what the guy's angle is, maybe just to be a playah, but I honestly don't think he's got much of anything on anyone. I'm calingl "move along now, nothing to see here" on this whole drama. Like it or not, it aint dirty unless the NCAA says it's dirty. We await their take.

In the old days, the NCAA would grill every person thrown under the bus. Not today. Apparently they just ask the people in question very nicely if it was possible that they may have faux pased.

Friday morning update

According to 93.7 THE ZONE:

"De'Vinner is saying things off the air about Auburn's involvement."  Reportedly De'Vinner told a Tennessee hs coach yesterday that Aubs were involved.

Starting to sound like maybe the barn mafia got to Devinner with a handsome check to keep his mouth shut. I wonder if they got to him in time. The rumor that the Barn got "caught with their pants down" might have originated from this. The NCAA got what  they needed before he could "change" his story.


What happened to Veazy(sp)?. He was prestty vocal all week.

It only matters what he's told the NCAA, whether the NCAA believes any of it, and whether the NCAA can corroborate it.

If you know anything about NCAA investigations -- residence in this state would be a qualification -- you know they don't always end where, when or how you think they will. If you know anyone who knows De'Vinner, you shouldn't be surprised if what he's said in public doesn't exactly match what he's said in private. ...
