Wow. This really shows this kid has a huge problem. I hope he makes it. Some of you guys nailed it with what his problem was.

I fully understand the sentiment, but what seems to happen, in effect, is that when a kid has a moderate problem, we make fun of him and call him a loser; when he has a big drug problem and lands in rehab we switch gears and bring the sympathy and well-wishing. Ironic. Just sayin.

That's because no one fully understood the scope of his problem. Was he being a stupid kid smoking pot, or did it go beyond that, to maybe an obsession. There's a huge difference.

let me play the "bad guy"for a sec, because i am Cynical. What if from the advice of people the honey badger plans to do this rehab thing and then try to come back to LSU, I'm unsure he could go pro next year, and try to make a return to get to the NFL and everyone is on his side because he has been "rehabed"?

I guess what I am saying is that we are inadvertently reinforcing more severe drug problems, greater disability, and more expensive services by our approach. And I agree with SeniorTSM that this approach pushes people to play the rehab card as a type of moral bankruptcy maneuver. Go to rehab and all is forgotten ( at least for public figures)

Well even with this guys' problems I still have to pray for him. I hope he gets rehabbed in several ways. It's not about mouth or football. He was brought from a side of the tracks that Les Miles knew about and he failed to correct this guy. I think Les Miles needs to be fired for not fixing this guy. I would venture to say if one is doing the others just haven't caught. Team mates are sure to follow each other if you know what I mean. RTR!

Rehab may work that way for a tv or movie celebrity, but not for regular folks or athletes. Rehab will make his next team test him constantly and be suspicious of his activities.
