Quote
South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said starting quarterback Connor Shaw can barely lift his right arm and will miss the next few days of practice.

"It's wait and see right now," Spurrier said Sunday.

Shaw was injured when he took a helmet to his right shoulder in the ninth-ranked Gamecocks' season-opening 17-13 victory at Vanderbilt last Thursday night. Shaw was diagnosed with a deep bone bruise. ...

Fortunate for him that he won't meet Vinnie.

Spurrier ahould not have let him back in after the injury.  Risking the whole season.

Too late. Shaw will be hampered all year now, if not replaced due to his shoulder. The kid can not take ANY more hits on that shoulder. Spurrier is an idiot for trying to run a 207 lb QB regularly in the SEC, it is pure suicide.

Well I hate to see any player get hurt. Now it looks like Jody22 might be seeing a bad season if Connor can't go. I hope he gets well, I want USCe to be full go against Georgia. I agree with all the other when Spurrier run him back in the game I couldn't believe it. His back-up seem to be doing OK. RTR!

That was me.  It was an old-school comment, but apparently that's what happened.

Shaw seems like a tough hombre.  But shoulders are shoulders.  If they stop working, he's done.

Denard Robinson trotted back from what looked to be a near death injury, also indicating the administering of the same shot they sometimes give horses at the track.
