Devon Walker was involved in a head on collision with a Tulsa player. He was unconscious and they had to preform CPR. He was taken by ambulance, but he was responsive and stable at that point.

Just saw this update Sad

According to a TU trainer, Walker suffered a broken neck & collapsed lung. He had to be revived on-field, & a tracheotomy was performed.

I saw, I believe, on ESPN's website where they think it was a C1/2 fracture.  That would explain the loss of breathing.  Usually, the higher up the spine that the fracture is located (the lower the number), the more devastating it is.  I hope the surgery is successful and that somehow he can regain mobility.
