On one level, I really don't like articles like these. It's because they are always so premature. I still say Bama hasn't proven anything. We destroyed a highly overrated Michigan team, wheezed our way to a lackluster victory over a vastly outmatched Western Kentucky team, and now are about to take on a beaten and wounded, but still dangerous Arkansas team. The biggest problem with these articles is that sometimes players might read these things and believe it. This is why Saban doesn't trust the media. Because this is a puff piece without any real substance, and it doesn't face the difficult realities of life in the SEC. Yes Alabama looks dominant right now, but there are always pitfalls. Even if we beat Arkansas, we still have to get by a suddenly dangerous Tennessee team, a trick Missouri team on the road, and a better than usual Miss St team. Not to mention LSU and Texas A&M. All of those teams could trip Alabama up, and then the once mighty Tide will not be so high up anymore. I'm just glad we have a coach who is so good at keeping the boys focused and prepared. But worthless puff pieces like this are not productive at all. And I despise Dennis Dodd. He's a terrible writer.

^THIS^

LSU beat down PAC12 Washington, and appear to be as good as advertised.  Michigan squeaked out a victory against Air Force, so they clearly are overrated. And there are a lot of traps waiting as Bama gets into the heart of its schedule.  Any of those teams you mentioned could have a big day against Bama, or Bama might not play up to expectations in a game.  There also are injury issues, and the team might come down with the flu.  So it definitely is too early to annoint a champion.

Watch what happens if there is a hiccup along the way for Bama. He will be the first to write an article that is scathing toward the Tide and Saban. Don't trust the bald-headed turdknocker as far as I could throw him.

The media was REALLY high on Bama after game 5 in 2010.  We'd just blown out Florida 31-6 and everyone was proclaiming that we were bound to repeat.  We know how the story changed in Columbia the next week.

This is the modern media in a nutshell.
