Man what a feeling that must have been. This is a great article and I thank you for the post. I use to love those Golden Flake tater chips. lol, Coach sounded even better when Keith Jackson and Frank Broyles talked about him in the booth. RTR!

A funny story arose about Golden Flakes. During his first year at Bama, Coach used to send in plays written on small pieces of paper, which eventually could be seen dropped here and there. When this stopped, fans surmised that he was sending in each play on a potato chip that was then eaten in the huddle.
