A-Rod has a no-trade clause in his contract so if he wants to stay in NYC... he stays. He will get paid no matter where he plays. So he's really holding all the cards.
My guess is he will stay one more year and try to get his numbers up. Then he might approve a trade to a warmer climate. Miami, with the new indoor/outdoor stadium, might be attractive to him.
If the New York media keeps ripping him unmercifully, he might approve a trade since his ego is so huge and he can't take the heat. The Yankees will have to eat at least 75% of that contract, if not more, to get rid of him. I love it.
