Spent a few moments reading forum posts from the other undefeated teams. This, of course, was not a scientific survey. Nevertheless.....
ND - Generally preoccupied with their players, coaches, strategies. Pretty realistic about the BCS implications of their weak effort against a weak team in Pitt.
KSU - A fair bit of conversation about their chances of getting in the NCG. The tone is pretty data oriented and, as with ND, they are pretty realistic about their chances, understand tht they will need some help to get in, etc.
Ducks - Mountains of Whitney, entitled, "we don't get the respect we richly deserve", predicting they'd kill everyone in the SEC, practically canonizing the USCw WRs to justify hemohrraging 51 points.
It is odd that the only one of these teams that have had (and blown) opportunities against SEC teams is the one doing all the smack. If we are lucky enough to get to the NCG I would prefer to play KSU or ND, but if Ducks are undefeated, better to play them and shut them up.
I like the idea of playing the Ducks. I really don't think they're the second best team in the country -- my pick would be KSU. The Duck's defense is terrible, and when faced with any SEC defense (Auburn) or a good one (LSU last year), they get completely dominated. If Bama played them and beat them by 30, we might not have to hear so much about them any more.
