Woodruff has already begun to feel the effects of the allegations that were charged on a Mobile radio station and online on Thursday. On Friday night, a car in his driveway was egged. He didn't sleep well on Friday night after spending most of the evening reading disparaging remarks about himself on fan message boards.

"I wouldn't wish this on anyone," he said. "I just want it to go away. I want to go back to being a fan of Russellville High School."

Some have characterized Woodruff as a booster of the University of Alabama. He said that is not the case.

"I'm not an alumnus, I've never bought a ticket from them and I've never given them a dime of my money," Woodruff said. "I attended games as a guest of Brent when he was a junior. I did it because he didn't have a coach that would take him."

NCAA rules state that schools are allowed to invite recruited athletes to games, and those athletes may bring along guests.

"Brent's like a son to me. Me and my wife consider him a part of my family. So no matter where he was going to school, Brent was still going to be a part of my family. That's just the way it is."

Calloway isn't the only youth Woodruff has helped. Former Russellville student Aaron Hollingsworth, who's house burned down almost two years ago, currently lives with the Woodruffs. Hollingsworth is not a Russellville athlete and has no high school eligibility remaining.

"I'm just passionate about helping young people," Woodruff said.

I doubt Lee has a mortgage.  He might have trouble paying the rent at his extended stay hotel, though.

They moved it from behind the paywall.  After I read it, I went to the main TS site and it's no longer there as premium.

I read the article. The investigation decided the allegations were such BS, the complance department is not even going to report it to the NCAA.
