Recent history shows there will be a shake up in the BCS standings the last few weeks of the season. Several teams got their wish when we lost. Now we are on the outside looking in hoping for two upsets. It is college football. Anything can happen. We can control winning out and winning the SEC Championship. We must do that or it does not matter what happens ahead of us.
As far as the Aura of Invincibility being gone I don't buy that. We are still the most dominant program in the last five years. I don't see that changing. Since 2008 we are 57-7 (90%) with two National Championships and four Top 10 finishes and sitting at No. 4 in the fifth year. If we were to play any team in the country this weekend on a nuteral field we would be favored.
Now that we have lost a game we can get back to playing solid football. Anytime you have a long winning streak you start playing not to lose rather than playing to win. Look for some of our best football of the year to be played over the next three weeks. I still believe in this team and you should too.
Dead on statement. Instead of worrying about the length of the winning streak and having reporters and fans obsessing on the streak, players can focus on preparation and being hungry to win and prove they are good. Oregon & Notre Dame have a tough road to finish undefeated and I am pretty sure ND will lose a game, and possibly even Oregon against either USC (in playoff) or Stanford.
