Big day for pmull tomorrow. I have to help my oldest daughter get moved back to Montevallo to start her senior year in college. Once I get her settled in I have to rush home to attend the Austin - Decatur high school football game. My youngest dauther is the captain of the band color guard. Austin and Decatur are both 6A schools but play in different regions. There will be a standing room only crowd of about 15,000. That's a huge crowd for a HS game. ESPN did a show a few years ago on the greatest HS rivalies in the country and Austin - Decatur was one of the featured games.

This is a good idea.  Perhaps I will attend a HS game tomorrow evening.

Smitty, if you like HS games maybe you can go to the Austin - Pell City game this year. We play in Pell City this year. I'm not sure of the date but it is in October. Maybe I will get a chance to meet you.

Hurricane projection (updated) now even more to the west.  Will hit NC, then all the way up east coast.

This hurricane is going to ruin a lot of peoples' day, cost millions, and probably kill a lot of people.  This is a very bad storm track.

Quote
Norfolk, VA)  --  The Navy is ordering dozens of ships to leave Norfolk, Virginia ahead of Hurricane Irene.
Navy officials say 36 ships including the aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower were leaving Naval Station Norfolk and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek today to avoid the powerful storm.

Commander Elissa Smith said the 2nd Fleet is moving three other carriers and more than two dozen smaller ships to the Hampton Roads area to ride out the hurricane.
The Navy has ordered all shore-based personnel to continue working to sandbag low-lying areas and secure port facilities.

Every time I take a pic it gets worse. Now 115 degrees for Alabama football practice. #bama

Ten minutes later he tweeted that Alabama practice is inside. Smart.
